At Ballina Coast High School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.

Our extra-curricular highlights

Creative And Performing Arts

We have an extensive drama, music and art program to encourage students to be creative and express themselves. They have the opportunity to perform, be involved in stage shows, exhibit their works and attend excursions. In addition, we offer a selective Talented Arts Program (TAP) after school for those high potential creatives who want to nurture their talents in more depth.

Sports

We have an extensive sports program that nurtures and encourages students to have fun and keep active. In addition, we offer a selective Targeted Sports Program (TSP) before school taught to support those future athletes of tomorrow on their athletic journey in their sport of choice.

Trips and excursions

Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.

Debating and public speaking

Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking opportunities. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.

Community service

Our school is invested in growing kind, empathetic humans who contribute meaningfully to society. We provide many opportunities to connect and support local charities and campaigns. Our Interact Club is for students dedicated to making a difference.
