High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) is how our school supports students with advanced learning needs.

At Ballina Coast High School, we offer a range of exciting programs for our High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) students in Years 7-12. Whether you excel in academics, the arts, sports, or independent learning, we have tailored options just for you.

Excel2Accelerate Academy (E2A)

Join a dynamic program designed for students who excel in intellectual, creative, and social-emotional domains. Become an expert learner and develop your capacity to take charge of your learning. Entry is by application process, portfolio and interview.

Targeted Sports Program (TSP)

Are you an aspiring athlete? Join our expert coaches in a variety of sports, including Surfing, Mountain Biking, Rugby Union, League, Soccer and Basketball. Focus on fitness and skill development. Entry is through an application process.

Talented Arts Program (TAP)

Pursue your passion in Drama, Music, or Visual Arts. Work alongside industry professionals and expert teachers to hone your skills. Entry by audition or portfolio submission.

The Big Picture Academy

Designed for independent learners ready to take their education to new heights. Collaborate with an expert adviser on major projects and work placements. Achieve the International Big Picture Learning Australia Credential, recognised by universities and employers worldwide.
