We extend a heartfelt invitation to each and every one of you to join us in the upcoming ANZAC Day March on Thursday 25th April 2024 to commemorate this significant day in our nation's history.
Participating in the ANZAC Day March is not only an opportunity to pay our respects to those who have served but also a chance to teach our younger generations about the significance of this day. It is a moment to reflect on the profound impact of war and to express our gratitude to those who have made sacrifices for the greater good.
We are inviting all students to meet their supervising teacher at Ballina Courthouse at no later than 10am to march to the Ballina RSL Cenotaph for the Commemoration Service at 11am. Please ensure you allow sufficient time for parking and walking to the Courthouse as the surrounding roads will be closed on the day. We ask that all students participating in the march wear full school uniform to proudly represent our school. During the Service there will be speeches, readings, hymns, The Last Post, The National Anthem, a 1-minute silence and wreath laying. Students can then be collected after the Service is completed from the Memorial Cenotaph at 1 Grant St, Ballina.
