At Ballina Coast High School’s Learning Centre, we are dedicated to supporting students in Years 7 to 12 by ensuring access to quality education for every learner. Our commitment to equity fosters an environment where students can grow, feel a sense of belonging, and work towards independence.
We build strong partnerships with students and their families, connecting them with essential support services. Our robust literacy and numeracy programs, along with social skills and self-regulation interventions, help students thrive academically and socially. We provide comprehensive assistance with assessments and learning to all students while ensuring that students with disabilities are fully supported within mainstream schooling. Additionally, we provide support and guidance for families navigating NDIS.
Our personalised student support planning includes tailored learning plans, behaviour support, and health care planning, attendance planning, alongside effective transition planning for individuals and cohorts. We also support staff and students with planning and implementing reasonable adjustments to the curriculum, teaching strategies, and assessment methods to ensure every student has the support they need to succeed.
Together, we work with staff, students, families and external agencies to implement appropriate adjustments, ensuring that every learner can access and succeed in their educational journey.
