As part of studying the module Seafood Handling and Processing, students are invited to attend an excursion to the Ballina Fishermens Co - Op.
We will meet the manager who will run through the processing and marketing of fresh seafood from local catch. We will watch filleting in action and hopefully meet local commercial fishermen bringing in their catch. We will visit the prawn trawlers and have a fish off Burns Point if time permits. We will have fish and chips for lunch, cost for lunch is $10.
Please make payment to the front office before excursion. If you do not want fish and chips please bring your own lunch. No money required.
