Covid-19 Update

https://education.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/advice-for-families#COVID0

Students are reminded to remain vigilant and practise physical distancing and hygiene measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students and staff are maintained.

Students should be attending school unless:

·         They have a medical certificate

·         Are currently unwell

·         Been in contact with someone diagnosed with Covid-19

All schools will be vigilant when implementing infection control, physical distancing and personal hygiene protocols to protect the health and safety of students and staff. Schools will promote the need to follow good hygiene practices such as:

·         Regularly washing hands.

·         Avoiding sharing drinks or food.

·         Coughing or sneezing into your elbow, or a tissue which should be discarded immediately.

Students will be supported to learn from home in the following circumstances:

·         If they are required to self-isolate due to being a close contact of a positive or suspected COVID-19 case.

·         Where the school is directed under public health advice to only remain operational for children of essential workers if an outbreak of COVID-19 was to arise in the local area.

·         School bubblers have been turned on but we urge students to bring their own water bottle.

Friends of BCHS

Meet Monday nights at 6.00pm in Week 3 and Week 8 of Term 1(February 8 and March 15). The meetings are held at the school and generally go no longer than one hour. We look forward to new and continuing support from our parents and carers.

Yondr

BCHS is a Yondr school and will be supporting our students to act responsibly with phone use. Students will be allocated pouches on their first day back. Further information will forwarded to all families.

Looking forward to growing older and wiser with everyone in 2021!

Kind Regards,

Janeen Silcock
